didn’t psychosis become stigmatized when it became associated with black people? i feel this seriously needs to be addressed in discourse about ableism, esp psychosis, esp the stigmatization of psychosis

seriously, we need to address the root cause of this stigma bc ignoring racism aint gonna get us anywhere and will continue to hurt mentally ill PoC

no really i never hear this addressed and yes i am complicit in that

i’ve got a lot of reading to do on the subject but the fact remains that ableism is inseparable from racism and anti-blackness
